Story

Hi there,

We are a group of individuals that have decided to make a difference to the lives of disadvantaged young people across Australia, by supporting Sir David Martin Foundation BUT we're not doing it the easy way! We will be abseiling down a 135m tall Sydney skyscraper in October 2014 while dressed as super heroes as part of the annual Abseil for Youth.

You can support the team by making a secure donation. We would also really appreciate it if you could share the team page and let as many people know about it as possible. You can also leave an encouraging comment.

Click ‘Donate Now’ to make your online donation.

All donations over $2 are tax deductible and you will be issued with a receipt via email as soon as you make a donation.

Thanks for supporting our challenge and helping to make a difference to youth in crisis!

Where does your donation go?

Your money goes directly towards supporting young people through Triple Care Farm, an award-winning rehab program for youth stuggling with addiction, homelessness and mental illness.

  • $20 - buys a student's art supplies to be used during art therapy
  • $30 - buys an essential toiletries pack for new students, who mostly arrive with nothing
  • $100 - covers weekly accommodation costs for a student
  • $300 - buys a student a Suicide Prevention Counselling session
  • $1500 - buys a scholarship to help a graduate get back to work or study through provision of materials, uniforms or payment of course fees

    Sir David Martin Foundation

Sir David Martin Foundation was set up in 1990 by the much loved Governor of New South Wales, Sir David Martin, four days prior to his death. The Foundation aims to realise the dream of Sir David Martin of an Australian community “where children can grow up in safety with hope and opportunity”. The Foundation raises funds for innovative and effective Mission Australia run youth crisis programs. We provide care, counselling, training and support for young people in crisis and foster community understanding of their needs and potential. With the goal to get more young people off the streets, away from unhealthy situations and into care and rehabilitation. We aim to encourage them in a new sense of self belief so that they can face the community at large without the need for drugs, crime and homelessness.
